Tumid \Tu"mid\, a. [L. tumidus, fr. tumere to swell; cf. Skr. tumra strong, fat. Cf. Thumb.]

1.Swelled, enlarged, or distended; as, a tumid leg; tumid flesh. [1913 Webster]
