Titling \Tit"ling\, n. [Icel. titlingr a tit sparrow. See Tit a small bird.]
1.(Zool.) (a) The hedge sparrow; -- called also titlene. Its nest often chosen by the cuckoo as a place for depositing its own eggs. [1913 Webster]
