Harsh \Harsh\ (h[aum]rsh), a. [Compar. Harsher (h[aum]rsh"[~e]r); superl. Harshest.] [OE. harsk; akin to G. harsch, Dan. harsk rancid, Sw. h[aum]rsk; from the same source as E. hard. See Hard, a.]
