Concussion \Con*cus"sion\, n. [L. concussio, fr. concutere, concussum, to shake violenty; con- + quatere to shake. See Cashier, Quash.]

1.A shaking or agitation; a shock; caused by the collision of two bodies. [1913 Webster]
