Pickaninny \Pick"a*nin`ny\ (p[i^]k"[.a]*n[i^]n`n[y^]), n.; pl. Pickaninnies (p[i^]k"[.a]*n[i^]n`n[i^]z). [Cf. Sp. peque[~n]o little, young.] A small child; especially, a negro or mulatto infant.
