Mullein \Mul"lein\, n. [OE. moleyn, AS. molegn.] (Bot.)
   Any plant of the genus Verbascum. They are tall herbs
   having coarse leaves, and large flowers in dense spikes. The
   common species, with densely woolly leaves, is Verbascum
   Thapsus.
