The Free On-line Dictionary of Computing (19 January 2023):

bozotic (From Bozo the Clown, a famous circus personality, via "bozo" - a clod, idiot or generally silly person) any form of clown-like or ludicrous behaviour. The word also has echoes of "robotic", so bozotic behaviour is mindless, automaton-like stupidity. [Jargon File] (1996-01-05)
The Jargon File (version 4.4.7, 29 Dec 2003):

bozotic /boh·zoh'tik/, /boh·zo´tik/, adj. [from the name of a TV clown even more losing than Ronald McDonald] Resembling or having the quality of a bozo; that is, clownish, ludicrously wrong, unintentionally humorous. Compare wonky, demented. Note that the noun ‘bozo’ occurs in slang, but the mainstream adjectival form would be ‘bozo-like’ or (in New England) ‘bozoish’.
