Tape \Tape\, n. [AS. t[ae]ppe a fillet. Cf. Tapestry,
   Tippet.]
   1. A narrow fillet or band of cotton or linen; a narrow woven
      fabric used for strings and the like; as, curtains tied
      with tape.
