Bulla \Bul"la\, n.; pl. Bull[ae]. [L. bulla bubble. See Bull

   1. (Med.) A bleb; a vesicle, or an elevation of the cuticle,
      containing a transparent watery fluid.

      in the skulls of many animals; as, the tympanic or
