Cowhage \Cow"hage\ (kou"h[asl]j), n. [Cf. Hind. kaw[=a]nch, ko[=a]nch.] (Bot.) A leguminous climbing plant of the genus Mucuna, having crooked pods covered with sharp hairs, which stick to the fingers, causing intolerable itching.
