Covered \Cov"ered\ (k?v"?rd), a. Under cover; screened; sheltered; not exposed; hidden. [1913 Webster] Covered way (Fort.), a corridor or banquette along the top of the counterscarp and covered by an embankment whose slope forms the glacis.
