tabasheer \tab`a*sheer"\ (t[a^]b`[.a]*sh[=e]r"), n. [Per. tab[=a]sh[imac]r: cf. Skr. tvakksh[imac]r[=a], tvaksh[imac]r[=a].] A concretion in the joints of the bamboo, which consists largely or chiefly of pure silica.
