Paddlefish \Pad"dle*fish`\, n. (Zool)
   A large ganoid fish (Polyodon spathula) found in the rivers
   of the Mississippi Valley. It has a long spatula-shaped
   snout. Called also duck-billed cat, and spoonbill
   sturgeon.
