Placophora \Pla*coph"o*ra\ (pl[.a]*k[o^]f"[-o]*r[.a]), n. pl. [NL., from Gr. pla`x, plako`s, tablet + fe`rein to bear.] (Zool.) A division of gastropod Mollusca, including the chitons.
