Heath grouse, Heath game
Zoology, a European grouse (Tetrao tetrix), which inhabits heaths; — called also black game, black grouse, heath poult, heath fowl, moor fowl. The male is called heath cock, and blackcock; the female, heath hen, and gray hen.
